I’ll admit, I had tried article submission at one point, but after I finally found a few article directories to submit my articles to, and then after manually copying and pasting my information into the required text boxes on each submission site, I quickly realized that my time could be better spent doing something else.

Then I came across a free program created by Brad Callen and Bryxen Software, Inc. that allows you to automatically submit your articles to hundreds of article directories with a few mouse clicks. Basically all I had to do was input my article criteria into the software, ONCE! Then, the program would automatically fill in all of the required data at each of the submission websites. Pretty incredible if you ask me.

The only part I didn’t understand was why the program is free… but I can’t argue with that I suppose.

The software currently contains around 700 article directories, all free to submit your articles to. It is the most straightforward program that we’ve come across, in that all you need to do is:

1. Input your article details (i.e. title, article body, bio, etc.) into the software

2. Click on the directory you want to submit to

And then the program will automatically fill in your article details. Then, you simply click the submit button and your article is instantly submitted to the directory. Then, you can move to the next directory, go through the list, and by the time you’re finished you’ll have roughly 700 one way links pointing to your website.

I can’t think of an easier way to get links. Of course, if you’re going to get links this quickly, it’s important to submit different variations of your articles, to make things look more natural to the search engines.

* Google Alerts and Google News. One of the fastest way to find ideas for content for your blog is to go to Google News and type in search terms for your niche. For example, I just typed “All time top NFL quarterbacks” into Google News. A story popped up about the top ten quarterbacks of all-time. If I had a blog in the football or sports niche this would be good material for a post about achieving greatness. You can also sign up to have Google Alerts send you an email with stories for certain phrases.

* WordPress plugins. From SEO to getting rid of spam comments, plugins are tools that will ensure that your blog operates at maximum efficiency.

Most of the above tools are free (some plugins have a small fee). All of them save you valuable time.

The purpose of a press release is to give reporters knowledge that is useful, truthful and attention-grabbing. However the reporter picking up the release isn’t interested in assisting you with making money or directing visitors and therefore potential customers, to your website. It is important to always keep this in mind when you set out to write a good press release.

Writing a press release is an art in itself if you are to accomplish both the journalistic requirements but at the same time achieve the real reason you are writing the press release in the first place, and that is to increase sales.

So how do you write an effective press release?

Here are five fundamental guidelines to keep in mind:

1. Press releases must conform to an established standard – Reporters get so many press releases a day, they have established excepted standards that you must adhere to merely to have your press release looked at, let alone distributed for publication.
2. Press releases should be printed on company letterhead if being mailed or faxed. Press releases may be sent by e-mail, fax or snail mail.
3. Press releases and news stories are lackluster to reporters without a ‘human interest’ angle – If you are going to write a press release to sell a product, do not begin with how grand the product is; begin by relaying the obstacle that the product will overcome.
4. A press release is a simulated news account, written in third person that endeavors to make obvious to an editor or reporter the newsworthiness of a specific individual, occasion, service or product.
5. Don’t panic – One of the hardest components of writing a press release is deciding what is too lengthy and what is too brief.  Many business owners feel panic-stricken when it comes time to compose a press release. By classification a press release is simply an announcement arranged for circulation to the media so keep this in mind before you garner “writers block” before you even begin.

The essential components of a good press release:

1. Headline or Title – The heading of the press release should grab hold of the reporter’s imagination. The title of the press release should be brief and titillating, expectantly snatching the interest of the reporter and making an impression on them in enough measure to entice them to read on. Ideally it should be under 80 characters.
2. Summary – The summary paragraph is a little longer outline of the news, giving more detail of the news in the headline in one to four sentences. The summary uses sentence case, with standard capitalization and punctuation.
3. The body of the press release – The body of the press release starts with the date and city the press release is derived from. The essence of the press release is very fundamental as suggested in the above guidelines; who, what, where, when and why – with human interest. The first paragraph of the press release should contain in brief detail what the press release is about. Keep sentences and paragraphs short, about three or four lines per paragraph. The content of the press release, beginning with the date and city of origin, should be typed in a clear, basic font (Times New Roman, Arial, etc.)
4. Should it be necessary for your press release to exceed one page, the second page should indicate ‘Page Two’ in the upper right hand corner.
5. Never embed HTML or other markup languages in your press release.  The standard press release is 300 to 800 words and written in a word processing program that checks spelling and grammar before submission. Do not include an e-mail address in the body of the release.
6. The end – The last paragraph of a conventional news release should contain the least newsworthy material, but for an online release, it is usual to reiterate and sum up the key points with a paragraph like this:
   For additional information on the news that is the subject of this release (or for a sample, copy or demo), contact Jane Publicist or visit [website address here]. You can also include details on product availability, trademark acknowledgment, etc. here.
7. About XYZ Company:
   Include a short corporate background, or “template,” about the organization or the individual who is newsworthy before you list the contact person’s name and phone number.

8. Journalistic standards have set basic stricture to identify the end of a press release: ###.  Three # symbols, centered directly underneath the last line of the release indicate the end of a press release.

Before you join an affiliate program or decide to promote an affiliate product, there are certain essential things you should consider if you want to be successful in earning affiliate commissions.

Choosing the right affiliate products or programs is essential if you want to succeed in making money online.

1. It should not cost you a lot of money to join an affiliate program or to start promoting an affiliate product.  There are affiliate programs that are free to join and there are others where you have to pay to join. Choose the affiliate programs that are not costly to join. If you are considering promoting some products as an affiliate, choose the ones that make it easy and less costly for you start promoting them.
2. The affiliate program or the product owner must provide you with the necessary marketing tools. If you have enough marketing tools, it’s easy for you to market your affiliate link and start to make sales quickly. You must look for affiliate programs or products that provide marketing tools as well as any necessary support.
3. How popular is the product? You don’t want to try and promote a product for which there is no demand. It is therefore important for you to make sure that the product or program you choose to promote is of high quality and is popular.
4. The commission checks must be paid early and on a regular basis. Make sure that the affiliate program or the product owner will be paying you your commissions on a regular basis. You don’t want to waiting for many weeks or months before you get your commissions.
5. How much commission can you earn and can you earn residual income? Depending on the affiliate program or product, you can earn commissions between 30% and 70% for every sale you make. You must maximize your earning potential by promoting products for which you can earn high commissions.
6. Choose an affiliate program that is a Two-tier program instead of one. A single-tier program is the one that pays you only for the business you have generated. On the other hand, a two-tier program pays you for the business, plus a commission on the sales generated by any other affiliate you sponsor in your program. It is recommended that you choose an affiliate program that gives you more opportunities to earn residual income.

By following these recommendations, you will be able to choose an affiliate program that will enable you to earn attractive commissions and become successful in making money online.

When I first began marketing online, I’d heard that affiliate marketing was the “easiest way to make money online”. I’m sure you’ve probably heard that too. Probably even from me.

However, with that said, when I first started marketing online, I had absolutely no clue how to:

1. Make a website that I could us to promote someone else’s product.

2. Find a product to promote that actually converted into sales.

3. Get traffic to my website so somebody would see what I was promoting.

… and I could go on and on.

These days, I always hear “crap” in forums from people saying, all you have to do is go to Clickbank.com and look for products with “good” sales letters. (products that look enticing and would be ones that you might buy yourself) then, head to Google Adwords and start advertising that Clickbank product. Figure out which keywords are making you sales and which ones aren’t. Then get rid of the ones that aren’t.  And let your campaign run on “auto-pilot” and you’ll be rich.

Perhaps you’ve heard that garbage as well. And perhaps you’ve even tried it. I know I did. And, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you, but that obviously doesn’t work, does it?

Anyway, let’s be honest here. People ARE making a lot of money as affiliates that solely promote Clickbank.com products.

So, how do they do it is the question…

Chances are, they’re either using what’s called The Google Sniper system, or some sort of variation of it. Kind of a cheesy/hypie name, but regardless of the name, I know this system works.

I have several of these “auto-pilot” systems set up. Basically, when I get bored (which isn’t very often to be completely honest) I set up a little side money maker as an affiliate marketer, marketing Clickbank.com products.

Anyway, back to the course I’m referring to. It’s called Google Sniper. And yes, I don’t like the name…but the course is VERY good and not expensive. Much of what is taught is what I do. Some of which was completely new to me.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that the methods taught don’t even use Google Adwords! So, if you dislike or aren’t very good at using Google Adwords, this is perfect for you.

A quick rundown of who I think this new course is a good fit for… and who I think it’s probably not a good fit for:

This is a GOOD fit for you if any of these sounds like you:

1. Aren’t very good with Google Adwords.
