About Build Your Business Toolbox

First off I am NOT a “Guru.” In fact I am sick and tired of all of the Guru’s and that is why I created “Build Your Business Toolbox.” Let me tell you a story that I think you will be able to relate to, especially if you are tired of guru’s too.

I have been in the Internet Marketing business now for 2 years. It has been my sole business having cashed in my 401k initially to make a go of being my own boss after 30 years in the mortgage business and all the B.S. of the corporate world.

In these 24 months I have spent thousands of dollars on eBooks, courses, products and promises. A great deal of that money went into the pockets of the so-called Guru’s — A potential riches to rags story rather than a rags to riches one.

If you have been online for any length of time or attempted to get into this business you know the names; Mike Filsaime, Frank Kern, the StomperNet boys; Andy Jenkins, Brad Fallon and Howie Schwartz who are among others, associated with StomperNet, John Reese, Tellman Knudson and many more. If these Guru’s are not creating, promoting and selling their own products they are usually smack in the middle of someone else’s products as a JV (joint venture) partner.

Now don’t get me completely wrong. Many of the products by these Guru’s are in fact excellent products and there are some straight as an arrow folks like Frank Kern who although a genius at marketing and manipulating us at least tells it exactly like it is and that we are being manipulated. There are however other of these guru’s whose products I have purchased and they can’t stand behind them when support is needed to save their lives, and hide behind endless loop support desks that never allow them to be reached, but that is another story.

The problem with most of these guru’s is their products are usually very expensive, extremely complex and require practically a PhD to really make them work. Not to mention by the time they release the products to us they have already made their own millions from them in the market then make millions more from selling to us after the fact and the same market we would sell to is saturated, telling us we can make the same millions…yeah.

In addition the real story is never fully told up front about how truly difficult it is to be successful with their products unless you have all the skills of a webmaster/web designer, JV connections (you will notice almost all of the guru’s promote each others products over and over and you will get the exact same affiliate offer and email from a dozen of the core group) and thousands upon thousands of dollars to spend on pay per click so you can dominate any competition from us small fish.

I do not begrudge them their millions, by any means, as long as it is completely honest, they stand personally behind every product they sell and they help their customers until they are making money. After all this is America and most of them started at the bottom also. It is just that some have completely forgotten where they came from, ultimately a fatal mistake.

What I have discovered however is that the wheel does not have to be reinvented every 90 days and that there are hundreds of Internet entrepreneurs out there who are quietly making equal millions creating, using, selling and promoting one core product and fully supporting it all the way through until you, their customers are actually making money. Then there other entrepreneurs who have created software tools that help in promoting core products like tools to submit articles, SEO (search engine optimization) tools, social networking tools, press release tools and other inexpensive support products.

This, my friends is the core of my Build Your Business Toolbox. I have learned the hard way, as I said, and spent plenty of money but I have come away with a toolbox whose tools can build a complete home business from foundation to roof for far less money than a single guru product can cost you AND NOT ONLY SAVE YOU MONEY BUT SAVE YOU TIME AND GRIEF.
